As ForeverForgottenLove moves to her own site pages on the site will slowly change to something a little more organized. Today, though, instead of working on the front end of the site, I’ve been working on the back end. You may not see many changes (the only one that’s visible to people who browse the site will be the Facebook Like buttons), but trust me, the new version of WordPress, the engine I use to run my site, is very, very nice.

I found out about Future Diary from the back pages of a Tokyopop manga, which said it would be out soon (i.e. 2 months). I was so curious about this title I looked it up myself, and never looked back.
Future Diary by Sakae Esuno is about a young boy named Yuki who lives life as a bystander, doing nothing but recording the events around him in his cell phone diary. The only people he talks to are in his imagination, the most remarkable is Deus Ex Machina, the lord of time. One day Deus mentions that he wants to play a game, and suddenly Yuki’s diary is already filled out with future events that he would have recorded! Not only this, but Yuki soon finds out that 12 others were also granted the same abilities with their own diaries (each of which record different types of information). The best part is when these people are told that they each have to kill each other and that the last person standing becomes the new god of time!
Just to add to poor Yuki’s problems he has a FREAKING CRAZY INSANE STALKER named Yuno. Her diary keeps track of Yuki’s actions. Isn’t that great? [un]Lucky for Yuki she doesn’t want to kill him, she wants him to love her, but as I said she is crazy; she will do anything to impress him, even kill! Should Yuki trust this maniac and let her help him win this game, or is she just using him?
This manga is very intense and gives the reader no downtime in all of it’s currently 52 chapters (I expect the manga to end very very soon!). Action, suspense, romance, a little horror; this manga has it all! Short but sweet, just the way I like ‘em!

Psalms of Planets Eureka Seven: Good Night, Sleep Tight, Young Lovers ( in Japan: Pocket Full / Pocketful of Rainbows ) is a Movie loosely based off the anime Eureka Seven. It is a spinoff set in whole different universe than the original anime; characters have different pasts and intentions and the world itself is based off new and different concepts. With that being said, i feel like only Renton had the same character that he did in the anime. Even Eureka felt a little less sensitive and tough and more “average Joe”. Because of this I didn’t feel the emotional connection that I made with all the characters in the anime. This could be due to the time constraint, but even then I feel like they could have put more into the characters than making them so stereotypical.
I didn’t hate the movie. Actually, I enjoyed it a lot. Eureka Seven the anime certainly goes down in my list of favorite anime, though, and when you try to make a spinoff and it doesn’t top what’s already there I feel as if I was cheated off a little. In my defense, I loved the prequel manga and games to Eureka Seven ( Manga: Gravity boys and Lifting Girl 1 and 2, games: Eureka Seven vol. 1 The New Wave and vol. 2 The New Vision [I had to get my copies used]). The games were actually the first RPGs i finished because I loved the battle system (though battles start off really slow they get fast; really fast) and the story filled in a gap in the total story of Eureka Seven. Even Moondoggie has a background, haha!
I digress. The ending of this movie was the only thing I didn’t really understand. I knew a change accrued, but we are never told specifically what changed (the world, Renton and Eureka’s bodies both appear to be different).
So, in summary, Eureka fans and non Eureka fans, as well as people with no Eureka background whatsoever can enjoy this tale of hope and defending those you love. I doubt it will be your favorite movie of all time, but it will certainly make you think, and that’s always a good thing.

First, I am sorry I am so behind on When the Sky Bleeds. I have been working on schoolwork and working on ideas for a short story that may or may not be published. You can expect to see chapter 11 either this Monday or sometime during next week. Chapter 11 may or may not be the end of “part one” of WtSB, but it will be close to it. When I finish that I will work on my summer publishing schedule and see when I am going to begin work on my new novella. If I do actually work on the short story it will not be until the novella is done.
Also, I may start doing a few anime and manga reviews again every so often.
